Her first year as an National Merit Scholar and attended the University of San Diego on an academic scholarship. she graduated with distinction in 2003. [2] Watney has competed in the Miss California USA pageant, in which she was the initial finalist in 2002. Beginning in September 2003, Watney worked for KMPH-TV (FOX 26) in Fresno. The reporter began her career as an early morning traffic reporter prior to moving into a anchoring for the weekend in 2005 and becoming a sports reporter for weekdays. "3"Watney came to Massachusetts in 2008 to work at New England Sports Network (NESN). She worked as an on-game reporter for the Boston Red Sox. Watney also hosted Ultimate Red Sox Show and Red Sox Report.In January 2012, Watney began working for Time Warner Cable SportsNet as reporter for the LA Galaxy. But, in November 2012, Watney got employed by MLB Network. There she was employed for nine years. She was the host for Quick Pitch. In 2022 she joined Apple TV+.
