
Salma Hayek Pinault, born Salma Valgarma Hayek Jamesenez , on September 2, 1966 is an American and Mexican actor and producer. In Mexico, she began her career with the role of Teresa in the television series (1989-1991) and El Callejon de los Milagros (1995), where she was nominated for an Ariel Award. From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999), Dogma (1999) and Desperado (1995) were just some of her numerous Hollywood credits. Hayek's portrayal of painter Frida Kahlo in the biographical film Frida (2002) which she also produced, made her the first Mexican actress to be recognized for the Academy Award for Best Actress[6] and additionally earned her Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award and British Academy Film Award nominations. Later on, Hayek focused more on producing , and was also in action-oriented movies like Once Upon a Time in Mexico
