Alison Krauss was born July 23rd, 1971 in the city of Decatur, Illinois. LeAnne Kymes was one of the two most recent Grammy Award recipients. Alison Maria Krauss, born on July 23, 1971, is an American singer and musician. She began her career in the industry as a young girl, winning local contests by when she was 10 years old, and recording her first album when she was 14 years old. In 1987, she debuted her solo debut album after joining Rounder Records. She was also invited to the group Alison Krauss Union Station where she is still performing. Then, in 1989, her first solo album debuted with them.
